We start with gem quality diamond crystals, grown under tightly controlled conditions to ensure consistent quality for all our diamond blades.

This crystal is then sawn into plates, each of which are polished down to precise thicknesses.

Every plate is lapped into preforms of exact dimensions and contours. Ultra-fine edges are then polished on the preform which are monitored for quality with high power magnification. After passing quality inspection, the diamond blade is mounted into our rugged, user-friendly titanium alloy handles.

Shown above is our Geodesic(TM) diamond blade mounted in an angled Basic(TM) titanium handle. The Geodesic(TM) makes a straight incision on the eye without the need to dimple down.

Here is our Ocusector(TM) diamond blade in our Grad(TM) titanium step handle shown at full extension for making a port incision.

And here is an Ocusector(TM) with sharp sides in a Grad(TM) step handle at calibrated step for making groove or Astigmatic Keratotomy incisions.

Based on many years of diamond cutting experience, Diamond Edge Company is committed to using only golden yellow, cultured diamond. This diamond is superior to its cousin in nature for resistance to chipping, visibility, and consistency. We use the same cultured diamond used to create stunning colored gem diamonds.
